Installing Analytics WordPress Plugins on Your Website

Hello and welcome to this article about installing analytics WordPress plugins. If you have stumbled upon this post from Gawd knows where, you may be interested to know that this is from a series of articles from a Kindle eBook called, “How to Set Up a WordPress Website from Scratch.” If you would prefer to buy the book to make life easier, feel free to download it by clicking the image below.

These are plugins you need when you are learning how to make Google love your website. Unfortunately, there is no way I can explain SEO in enough detail in this eBook. In future editions of this book, there will be a link to my ‘SEO for technophobes’ eBook. For the time being, just follow my instructions.

Yoast SEO

The first true all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress, including on-page content analysis, XML sitemaps and much more. This one is absolutely brilliant for on-page SEO and you should think of it as an essential plugin as well.

Now, I’m guessing that you’re not 100% sure what the above means. However, the good news is that you don’t really need to. Just follow the instructions at the bottom of each of your blog posts and everything will be hunky-dory, SEO-wise at any rate. If you want to watch a video on Yoast SEO, click here.

Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights

The is indeed the best Google Analytics plugin for WordPress. It lets you see how visitors are finding and using your website, which will help you to keep them coming back. However, unlike Yoast, you can’t just follow some instructions. Unfortunately, also like Yoast, there is no way I can go into all the ins and outs of Google Analytics here as it would take forever.

The good news is that there is a great eBook to help you. And if there is a link to it at the end of this eBook to it, which I should add I wrote (the book, not the link), then I have finished it and I strongly suggest you buy it! Hummingbird

Hummingbird zips through your site finding new ways to make it load faster. This can be from file compression and minification to browser caching. When it comes to page speed, every millisecond counts.

This is in the analytics section because if your website is fast, Google loves your website. And if Google loves your website, then your site will be higher up the search rankings, which you really, really want. If you want to watch a video on Hummingbird, click here.

Wrapping Analytics WordPress Plugins Up

And there you have it. The above three plugins are all you need to get started when you are building your first website. Take your time when you’re learning them. They’re important and you need to know how to use them. However, you don’t have to learn everything by tomorrow. Now let’s move on to optional WordPress plugins that are worth installing on your website.
